Kamran Tabaddor, M.D.

Kamran Tabaddor, M.D. The former chairman of surgery and director of surgical services at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital in the Bronx, NY, Dr. Tabaddor has more than 30 years of experience in neurosurgery and research. Currently a clinical professor of neurosurgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, his primary interests lie in treating brain and spine tumors as well as functional neurology disorders such as epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, and other motor-neurological issues.

Frequently named a “Best Doctor” by his peers in New York magazine and Castle Connelly lists, Dr. Tabaddor is known as a “surgeon’s surgeon” because of numerous referrals from medical colleagues. A conservative practitioner who considers non-invasive alternatives before recommending surgery, he often is at the forefront of medical advances. He recently completed a major study on an experimental use of occipital nerve stimulation to help reduce intractable migraine pain — a promising procedure that may restore quality of life to the many people who suffer from these crippling headaches.
