Get to know Dr. Kullman

Dr. Michael Kullman is BSSNY’s first board-certified anesthesiologist who specializes in managing patient pain levels before, during, and after surgical procedures. He will be working under BSSNY’S Center of Excellence for Interdisciplinary Pain Management, which consists of multiple providers of differing specialties, and will be providing the sedation for pain procedures.


In the near future BSSNY will be starting a new state-of-the-art treatment clinic in which Dr.Kullman will be administering the Ketamine infusions as a treatment for some debilitating pain syndromes as well as anxiety, PTSD, and depression in certain individuals. His goals of chronic pain management are to lower pain intensity, enhance physical functioning, proper use of medications, improvement of sleep, mood, and socialization, as well as help the patient get back to work and to resume other normal activities.


Dr. Kullman has been practicing for more than three decades. After graduating with his medical degree from New York Medical College, Dr. Kullman worked as an intern at Westchester County Medical Center, where he also performed his residency in Cardiothoracic and Neuro Anesthesia.


Dr. Kullman is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the New York State Society of Anesthesiologists. He is licensed to prescribe medical marijuana and also administers Botox. In addition, he is a former Commander in the United States Navy Reserve, serving as Battalion Surgeon for 2/25 Marines for eight years.
