As a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner working with Dr. Kaushik Das, Catherine Adissi works closely with spine patients, managing histories, initial examinations, post-operative care, tests, pain management, and much more. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Stony Brook University and went on to earn a Nursing degree from Westchester Community College. She then attended Columbia University School of Nursing where she earned a Master of Science/Family Nurse Practitioner degree. Catherine excels at the implementation of treatment plans, as well as treatment and follow-up.
Kelsey Kimble is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner working with Dr. Peter Costantino. She is highly knowledgeable and experienced in a multitude of specialties, especially the operating room. She earned a BSN from Hartwick College, went on to earn a MSN in Education from Western Governors University and a Post Masters FNP from The College of Mount Saint Vincent graduating with magna cum laude status. Kelsey is working towards completing a Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) certification, which allows her to work alongside Dr. Costantino in the operating room as a first assist, providing patients a comprehensive holistic approach to their care. Additionally, she is a Professional Registered Nurse, a member of the American Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Honor Society.
Tara Lent is a highly experienced board-certified Physician Assistant working with Dr. Craig Shannon. As such, her duties include the care and management of neurosurgical patients with cranial or spine issues, as well as their pre-operative and post-operative care and coordination, and assisting Dr. Shannon in the OR. She received her undergraduate degree in Anthropology from Stony Brook University and Master of Science degree with PA certification from Pace University | Lenox Hill Hospital Physician Assistant Program in New York City. Tara is a member of several organizations, including the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the New York State Society of Physician Assistants.
Cari Martone is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner working with BSSNY pediatric neurosurgeons, Dr. Michael Tobias and Dr. Avinash Mohan. She is responsible for performing physical exams; conducting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; coordinating care and professional consultations; prescribing durable medical equipment, analgesics, and physical/occupational therapy, and much more. Cari received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Adelphi University and a Master of Science degree in Nursing from Hunter Bellevue of Hunter College of the City University of New York. She is a member of many professional organizations, including the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Associates and Practitioners (and served two terms as Secretary and President of the Greater New York chapter), and many more.
As a highly experienced board-certified Physician Assistant for Dr. R. Michael Koch, Chihiro Shinohara works primarily with patients undergoing cosmetic surgery, breast surgery, and microsurgical reconstruction. She assists Dr. Koch in the office and in the operating room. She earned an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Delaware, and a Master of Science degree with PA certification from the Pace University | Lenox Hill Hospital Physician Assistant Program in New York City. She is a member of several prestigious associations, including the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the New York State Society of Physician Assistants, and the Japanese Medical Society of America. In addition to English, Chihiro speaks fluent Japanese and is conversant in medical Spanish.
Caren Goldstein is a Board-Certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner specializing in the care of pain management. Working closely with Dr. Elvis Rema, she is skilled in performing physical assessment, diagnosing, coordinating plan of care and performing in-office therapeutic procedures. She began her career in health care as a paramedic and then a registered nurse, working in acute care settings. She advanced her skills while working as a registered nurse in emergency medicine which then led to her role as an educator for the staff of the emergency department. After 10 years of working in emergency medicine, she transitioned into orthopedics; coordinating care and providing patient education for joint replacement and spine surgery patients. Caren then pursued her interest in advancing her nursing education and earned her Master’s in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner from Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, CT. Caren is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as well as the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
